I updated from old version to new and saw some wordpress cache notifications. That the plugins says I will have to shut down the cache engine. Who would turn off their wordpress cache for this plugins?

WassUp cannot produce accurate statistics with any page caching plugin installed. But, if you are satisfied with the data you get from WassUp, then by all means, keep using it with your cache plugin.

A fix for this error is in the works. If you can’t wait, here is a quick hack to get it working: download and edit the file, ‘wassup.php’ (WassUp1.8 breaks WordPress 3.0.1 plugin editor in some configurations), scroll down and find line #3967, remove the single (,) comma after ‘yeastinfectionsymptomstreatments\.com’, and save. Upload ‘wassup.php’ to ‘wassup’ directory in your wp-content/plugins directory, and overwrite the old copy.

Please note that you MUST disable or deactivate your cache plugin before doing this hack, then reactivate it afterwards and make sure that all cached data is fresh.

Can you push a fix for this please? We use the plugin to catch what happens when someone wanders into a 404 and this typo has got to be affecting pretty much all users.

    Cheers!

I updated to version 1.8.1 few minutes ago and still seeing the errors in my homepage-

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home/.../public_html/key/wp-content/plugins/wassup/wassup.php on line 3954

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home/.../public_html/key/wp-content/plugins/wassup/wassup.php on line 3954

What’s wrong? Also I noticed there’s a graphical conflict(A Thin white line) with “Admin Drop Down Menu” plugins

Please update all your cached pages as your site probably still has the old copy of WassUp in memory.

@shakhawat: Sorry. It turns out I missed a couple regex bugs in the 'wGetSpamRef' function. Another bugfix update is coming very soon.

Until then, an easy fix is to uncheck ‘Record referrer spam attempts’ in WassUp >> Options >> [Statistics Recording] tab, as this problem is isolated to the referrer spam function.

After patching/fixing a line of code in wassup.php, my blog does not show error anymore . I post my fix at :

    https://cingcong.com/blogs/blog/2010/12/06/how-to-fix-wassup-error-preg-match-1-8-1-wp-3-0-13-02/

@helened unchecking ‘record reffered spam attempts’ under statistics recording works, temp solution
