[Plugin: WDM News] Problems with some characters

  • Hi,

    I just install this nice plug in my back-up WP, running on localhost on my comp. I have problem with chracters like “ě??”, which are reproduced like “?”.

    When I save my news in the message “News: ‘????’ saved”, there are all the character good, but on my main page, are some characters changed into “?”.

    Because I am writing in Czech, I need to solve it, otherways I can not use this plug.

  • That’s always caused by some character encoding incompatibility: in order to have everything displayed correctly, the two sites must have the same character encoding. WP, by default, has utf-8.

    That problem it’s cause by a wrong setting of MySQL Database Charset Encoding.

    The WDM News plugin use UTF-8, for resolve that problem you must operate with a database with correct charset encode.

    Musí? si změnit porovnání(kódování) v MySQL, jak u tabulky, tak i u sloupc?. Pak by to mělo fungovat
