[Plugin: Weather Widget] Weather.com API site down?

I installed your Weather plugin and widget on my site I ambuilding. For two days, it seemed to work fine. This morning (July 22, 2009), I could not get the home page to completely display. It appeared to be timing out on retrieving info from weather.com. This afternoon it all was working fine. Tonight, it’s not working again.

So, two things: First, I’m assuming the problem is with whatever web site the weatcher channel API accesses, but I don’t know. Second, regardless, is there a way to update your interface so that if a response is not received, that an appropriate message (Weather site is down) could be displayed?
