[Plugin: White Label CMS] Profile (not dashboard) showing on login! Why?

Ok, I just confirmed that WLCMS 1.3 causes WP to go to the dashboard after login but WLCMS 1.4, 1.4.1, and 1.4.2 all cause it to go to the user profile page. So something must have changed in 1.4. Ideas?

Just to be clear this problem only seems to affect editors, not admins. I’m not sure if it affects lesser roles.

I cannot replicate this.. what menu items do you have hidden?

It may be that if you’ve hidden everything, then it defaults back to the Profile page?

Did some testing. Any combination of menu hiding that includes hiding the Posts menu seems to cause editors to go to their Profile page upon login.

However I also noticed other wonky behavior…

• Clicking the WLCMS “Reset” button results in some menus being hidden despite all the menus being reset to unchecked. Clicking “Save Changes” seems to actually apply the reset changes (all menus shown).
• Hiding Posts only also hides Comments, Tools and the Contact 7 “Contact” menu.
• Hiding Comments only does not hide the Comments menu

have discovered what is causing this – it’s to do with how we removed the posts – it was then causing WP to think nothing was on the dashboard then redirect to profile.

Have sorted this one out – will be fixed in 1.4.3

This is still happening for me in 1.4.5.
Again hiding the posts (and all) menus except a plugin I have.

It is defaulting to the profile page for the Subscriber user on login.

The default workflow of subscribers in WordPress is that once they login they will go to the profile page.

If you delete WLCMS, you will see that this is the case.

Please confirm, you are not confusing subscribers with editors.
