Widget Logic only kicks in once a user has logged in, so I can’t hide a widget from a particulate page if the user viewing it is a guest to my blog.

  • this is not the case. widget logic, if active, can hide widgets regardless of the logged in status of the viewer/client.

the logic itself may be written to depend on it, or not, too.

That’s what I thought as well, but with the logic set to “is_home()” and nothing else, it still appears on every single page, unless I login first, in which case it shows on the home page and nothing else.

It might be over-zealous server side caching that needs refreshing?

I was thinking the same, but I have no caching enabled, and I’ve tested over multiple days (including on a fresh local install)
