[Plugin: Wiki Embed] Can this be used as an import tool?

  • My company has 2 different sites on mediawiki and we are moving our corporate site to WP. We are considering moving the other 2 mediawikis also to WP (they were never really wiki type sites, someone just decided to use that platform), can this plugin be used for this purpose?

    Anyone one know of another plugin that can import from Mediawiki? All my searches have lead to the opposite, moving from wp to mediawiki.

    The wiki-embed plugin was not designed to help import content from MediaWiki into WordPress although some. I could definitely see how be changed to do so. And if do you that please publish your plugin for others. What the wiki-embed plugin does it creates a reference to the wiki content page. Similar to a youtube video embed. If the content on the youtube doesn’t exist the video won’t play on your site.

    Hope that helps. And no I don’t know (unfortunately) of any plugin that lets you import MediaWiki into WordPress.
