    About 2 weeks ago asked if this plugin will leave files, or settings behind after it’s deleted, and you reply was:

    “No, this plugin will clean up everything on uninstallation. This plugin will not make any changes to core files. Only one custom table is created in the database and it will be deleted??We are using WP functions to redirect, so no, it will not leave anything behind. any changes to core files. Only one custom table is created in the database and it will be deleted??We are using WP functions to redirect, so no, it will not leave anything behind.”

    This is does not seem to be the case. In the database under wp_options there are settings related to this plugin after the plugin was deactivated and then deleted.

    fs_accounts
    fs_active_plugins
    fs_api_cache
    i4t3_db_version
    i4t3_gnrl_options
    i4t3_version_no

    Is it OK to delete these files without breaking the site? and what are the purpose of these files left behind?

    Regards,

    Hi @lechon,

    Sorry for the misunderstanding. Will fix that soon.

    Yes, you can delete those values without any issues if you have uninstalled the plugin.

    Hey @lechon,

    I just checked. This plugin will delete all these values from when you uninstall. How did you uninstall the plugin? Can you explain the steps?

    I just deactivated the plugin first and then deleted it. That is all.
    We discovered the files left behind by pure accident. When we initially deleted the plugin and re installed it again, we noticed that all the settings for the plugin were still there, this let us to believe that something was still on the database somewhere. We did finally deactivated the plugin again and then deleted it one more time. Then we went to the database to manually delete the files manually.
    Can you please tell me what the file “FS” stand for or belongs to (see sample below)
    The file called fs_api_cache with a value of a:0:{}

    Hi @lechon,

    First of all, this plugin does not create any files! You are referring to database values, correct?

    And, do not delete plugin directly after deactivating it. You can uninstall the plugin from the WordPress plugins page. Only when you do this way, the plugin can make use of WordPress’ uninstall functionality and clean up your database.

    Yeah, sorry about the confusion it created a value not a file.

    I was doing all the procedures via the dashboard. The manual stuff was done becase the dashboard did not clean up the values left behind on the database.

    Joel, please let me know that “FS” stand for or belongs to (see sample below)
    The file called fs_api_cache with a value of a:0:{}

    We are trying to resolve an event left on our server logs and knowing where this “FS” stands for, would help us.

    FS stands for Freemius, the service we use in our plugin for add-ons and usage statistics.

    The plugin will clear everything from the database if you have uninstalled via dashboard. I have verified this in few of my test sites.
