    Hello,

I have installed the Debian / Jessie -based WordPress packages, which provide core functionality. But, I have a www-data:www-data -writeable plugin-folder under

    /var/lib/wordpress/wp-content/plugins

I have just downloaded your plugin for free, to try it out, by copying the plugin folder to the directory above, and settings its ownership to www-data:www-data as well. Further, my core files are not writeable by the Web-server.

Yet, when I go into my Dashboard and then try to activate the plugin, the unespected behavior is that the page reloads and displays the text at the top, saying “Plugin Activated”. However, this plugin is still not activated. It stays listed as not activated, and repeated attempts to activate it, produce the same results each time.

    What gives?

    BTW, This is my blog:

(Edit: I was able to deactivate the Awesome Weather Widget plug-in, and WordFence activated. Awesome Weather Widget would also be the most logical place, from which external parties could inject content into my site, because it displayed right in the home-page. )
