Thanks for reaching out. This is likely a permissions error or an issue with available space. Please check that your hosting account owns and has permission to write to wp-content/upgrade and to wp-content/plugins/wordfence and that it has space available for the update files. Your host can likely assist with this.
If Wordfence is installed currently, can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.
