• After installing the plugin as per instructions, I can’t figure out how to force it to check the whole site. It stops after a couple of pages. Has anyone else faced this problem? I adjusted the Maximum execution time to 30 minutes hoping that would help, but no luck.

What can i do to force the plugin to check through and report on each page on our site? I have the following checkboxes selected in the Options:

    Check WordPress Pages (140)

    Check WordPress Posts (281)

    Check Category Indexes (28)

    Check Custom URLs (0)

    Hi Charli,

I have seen issues like you are describing when hosting providers have maximum script run times that cannot be overridden by the plugin (using the setting you’ve already tried). I’ve been asked by hosting providers to not reveal the exact times that they use in their configurations, but suffice to say that some hosts have a hard limit that cannot be exceeded.

To work around these limits, I added a “Maximum Script Run Time” option, which basically lets the plugin check scores for a set period of time, before it ends itself gracefully and starts a new scan to continue its work. The downside of this work around is that it can take longer to check pages, and you may see some odd behavior with the status bar. However it is currently the best option for hosts with this limitation.

Give it a try at a low setting like 60 seconds and see if scans are able to complete. If they are, you can increase the value one step at a time until you find the maximum value that scans can still complete at.

    I hope this helps,

    Matt Keys

I’m having the same problem after changing the hosting.
The procedure did not solve the problem.
The log does not display errors.
    What do I check?

Can you share what hosting provider you are having issues with? I had a user recently on siteground that wasn’t able to use the plugin even with the 60 second maximum script run time. In that case I walked him through adding a 30 second option for testing that seemed to work for him. You can see that full thread here if you are interesting in testing the same solution.

Setting to 30 seconds worked for me on a wpengine.com hosted site. Thanks!
