• This plugin does not automatically update. Paid support says it’s out of their control and closes all tickets. Yet every other plugin I use updates automatically and without problems.

    Have you contacted us before writing a bad review? It sounds like you looked at old tickets, which were closed after 5 days of inactivity but didn’t contact us directly. Formidable does update automatically, but there are a couple of reasons you may have trouble on your site (your host or only a sub-site active).

    The error message said it couldn’t create the classes directory. I opened a ticket and was told it was a permissions problem. I looked at permissions and my hosting company did as well, and permissions were fine. I opened the ticket again and Formidable said it was the length of the file name and not their fault, do a manual update instead (but the process for a manual update isn’t documented). I DID open a ticket twice and no one seemed very happy to help.

    I would like to do what I can to help you get the update process working smoothly. We want our product to work well, and update well for all our users.

    Or, if you would like to create a new ticket in the help desk, I would be happy to look into this further with you to see if there is anything that can be done to allow the automatic updates to work.
