I tried to use this plugin today but –

when I apply the addon Test Head Footer, I get the following message:
    Your active theme:
Is missing the call to <?php wp_head(); ?> which should appear directly before </head>
Is missing the call to <?php wp_footer(); ?> which should appear directly before </body>

But the calls are present in header.php and footer.php

I have read the other threads and have tried disabling all other plugins and have installed the 2014 default theme. Neither of these fixed the it.

I still get the same error message (as above) and the popup won’t display. I have most rules checked but have tried it when logged out and from a different browser.

I don’t know what to do about this.

    Thanks

  • Hi @goviral,

Thanks for posting on the forums and sorry to hear of the problems you are having.

I have tested it on my test site using latest version of WordPress PopUp plugin and WordPress default theme Twenty Fourteen, it worked fine without any issues.

Make sure you are using the latest version of the WordPress PopUp plugin.

Is it also not working with other default themes like Twenty Twelve?

Could you please try using the different pop over loading method from the following path?

Admin area -> Pop Overs -> Settings

    Kind Regards,

Thanks, I’ll try this and get back to you.

Hi @goviral, sounds great, looking forward to hearing how that goes! Meanwhile, could you try using no rules at all as well?

That’d help us to know if it’s a rule-based issue. If that all doesn’t work though, could you provide a link so we could have a look at the page source?

    Thanks!
