I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why, when visiting the cart page of a fresh install, I was only seeing [cart] on the page instead of a shopping cart.

Turns out that pages that the plugin creates apparently use the wrong shortcode to show the cart on the Cart page.

If you edit your auto-generated Cart page in WP admin, just change the [cart] shortcode to [woocommerce_cart] and it’ll work nicely.

This is most likely due to your having another eCommerce plugin installed prior to WooCommerce.

You were absolutely right — this was because a page of the same name had already been created by another cart plugin I tried out.

Officially, this was my own dumb issue and NOT a problem with the plugin — So far, I’ve been pretty impressed with what I’ve seen with it!

Ironic: The cart page was one that did work right for me! And with several weeks of evaluating shopping cart plugins, I guess I dodged the bullet as regards a conflict — for example, Cart66 uses “store” instead of WooCommerce’s “shop.”

Unfortunately, CSS issues prevent my product pages from displaying properly in my custom theme. I am, however, using WooCommerce on another site with the free Wootique theme (which I’ll be customizing myself soon, as I don’t need a highly unique design this time around) and it’s been great so far!

As long as this thread is still open, perhaps someone can help me with a peculiar WooCommerce issue. I’m using the latest version 1.6.4 of WooCommerce. Site is: https://skincaremember.com

When I’m logged in as admin, the view cart function works just fine and I see the URL: https://skincaremember.com/cart-deprecated/

However, once I’m logged out and attempt to purchase products as a “Customer” or “Guest” the view cart button just goes to a blank page – even though I see the same url except it is not SSL Secure:

Does this mean the Customer has to log in before he/she can make a purchase? Is there a way for them to load up and view the cart without logging in? I should think the “Checkout” page would be where the initial “forced SSL” would come into play.

Any ideas would be very welcome. Thanks in advance.
