I had a bug in my formal version at the very same location of “Category”… sorry for that was just overseen too long…

Also, my Gettext filter code could not working because the original string uses the _n() function which obviously does not work yet with Gettext filter. So we had no chance in the end.

As of my testing on your account, version 3.0.4.1 with resolved “Category” bug in formal version seems to fix it.

All ok now? ??

I could not find out, where to change Oesterreich to ?sterreich.
Since I only support this country, it does not matter to me what you wrote in the faqs of the plugin to that issue…?

Please open a new topic for each and every issue in the future – it’s better organized then! This thread is already resolved and becoming to long.

However, the “Austria” thing was brought to me from users from Austria that want it to changed to “Oesterreich”. You’ve already mentioned the FAQ entry and that is very clear.

Since the .po files are packaged with the plugin in the “/wc-pomo/” folder you can edit them anytime. You just have to be aware that future plugin updates might override your changes. You then could use the alternative location –> see “Installation” tab for more info!
Using customized files would also mean you have to care about updates (of the language files, not the plugin itself) yourself.

I’ll try to bring this naming issue to the WC developers but it may take some time.

I will only switch back to “?sterreich” string if changes are made in WC itself.

Alternatively, you can use a gettext filter to change this one string to your liking. Based on this example code from here: https://gist.github.com/deckerweb/5163870 – you can make the appropiate changes yourself. Placing this then in your functions.php of the theme or a functionality plugin. Note: don’t add the first line “< ? php”!

Hi David, thanks for the great and prompt translations.. I found this page though as one word in specific has a second meaning in german which is an unhappy choice.. thought I might mention this to you as sometimes in translating it can be missed where and how it is used..

the word free is translated with “umsonst” may I suggest gratis or kostenlos.. it is used when the product price is set to 0.00 (as we have with product catalogues for affiliates)
I′m changing it now to gratis.. after all it is not in vain ??
