• Having an issue with a new WooCommerce site I just developed. No matter what security code I put in, the order still goes through. I could type in 123 or 1234 depending on the card and the order goes through just fine. Obviously, this should not be happening. Is this WooCommerce’s issue or PayPal’s? This is v1.6.1 of WooCommerce with the WooCommerce PayPal Pro Gateway extension

  • According to page 36 of the PayPal Payflow Gateway Guide, CSCREQUIRED is an optional perameter that is sent to PayPal to say whether the security code is required or not. From the sound of it, your gateway plugin has that option set to false.

It’s not uncommon for online payment gateways to verify only with the Postal Code (zip), regardless of how much information users are asked to enter. However, for specific information about the WooCommerce PayPal Pro extension, you’ll likely be best served by the WooCommerce public forums or PayPal Payflow support.
