[Plugin: Woocommerce] Subcategories Not Appearing

I am up to date with every update on the site (including all plugins). I have changed the category settings to have the shop page display categories, then I have default category display set to show subcategories. My subcategories are display typed as subcategories. My products are filed under the subcategories. Subcategories appear in the “categories” tab of the products menu. However, when I open my shop page and click on a category, ALL of the products that are supposed to be in subcategories appear, and the subcategories are nowhere to be found. ?? I have had no luck so far in making the subcategories appear at all on my actual webpage no matter how often I update content or mess with the settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
