My wordbooker seems to be pushing comments made on my blog to facebook. However, it does not seem to be pulling the comments made on FB to my blog. I know that comments are only pulled about every hour, and I even waited for the “next fetch” time to run out. Ideas?

Was comment handling enabled for each of the posts when they were first made. If not then comments wont be pulled.

Also check that they’ve not ended up in the moderation queue or the spam list.

Comment handling in V1 is problematical so its being re-written totally for V2.

Yes. I turned it on and then made a test post. It was sent to FB fine. I commented on the blog and that got sent to FB fine. I then commented on FB, waited for the “next fetch” to run, but it didn’t come to WP. Checked Akismet, not in there. Checked comments, not in there.

Well you can try turning on the diagnostics.

Were they posts to a Fan wall? If so then comments wont pull back

I’m also having this problem, so I’m subscribing here. I turned on the “Advanced Post diagnostics,” and I will try publishing another post later today. Publishing to my FB Wall works fine. It just doesn’t seem to pull any comments back to my blog. I have publishing comments from my blog to FB disabled, so I can’t speak to that. I’ll let you know what I find. Let me know if there’s more information that would be helpful.

Make sure the the “Fetch Comments” is set on the main Wordbooker options panel.

It might do odd things only doing one way comment handling…

Does this help at all? This is after turning on Advanced Post diagnostics without publishing anything new.

Sorry I didn’t see your last post before I pasted the diagnostics. I have “Import Comments from Facebook for Wordbook Posts: ( Next Scheduled fetch is in : 42 minute(s) )” checked under “Blog Level Customisation” under Settings -> Wordbooker. Is there something else I should check?

OK that shows it posted it to your blog. Its probably going to be in your moderation queue.

You mean under Comments -> Spam or Comments -> Moderation? No, the missing comments are not under either of those.

    Plugin Author Steve

    (@steveatty)

Can you see them in the database, in the comments table?

No, they’re not there either that I could find.

Have you got an anti-spam plugin installed? If so try setting the Auto Approve comments option in Wordbooker

I have Akismet installed, but the comments are not showing up among the ones Akismet has marked as Spam. Still I’ll try that.

    that worked.

    Good ??
