    Really odd little problem.

Everything is working great, except when the blog is viewed in Internet Explorer, the Wordbooker FB Like widget doesn’t display. The header text is displaying, so I know it’s being referenced.

Works fine in Firefox and Chrome.

Any suggestions or things to check? I’m suspecting some kind of theme incompatibility, but don’t have any idea how to track it down. (Theme is Magazine Pro), and the site is https://www.thegrotonline.com .

    Thanks for any ideas!

    Cheers,
    Art

Check the section in the Wordbooke documentation about the XMLNS tags – IE needs them more than other browsers.

Steve, thanks for the pointer — that fixed it.

    Steve,

I am trying to use wordbooker but the comments are not importing from my FB. Can you help me, please?

    My site is lauralavigne.com

    Thanks a lot!

Are they comments from a fan page – if so they wont pull over. If they’re from a wall post then unless the comment handling options were set when you originally posted it then it wont work.

Have you got an anti-spam system installed? If so you’ll need to set the option to bypass spam checks.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

They are from a wall post, not a fan page. I believe I set the comments options correctly by toggling this line:
“Fetch comments from Facebook for this post”

I have Askimet installed, yes. Is there a way for it to allow Wordbooker comments but still check for other spam? I did not see it.

I would love to get this to work. It posts beautifully on FB – I just need the comments to follow…

There’s an option to bypass spam checks for Wordbooker comments – I think its something like Auto Approve.

For some reason, Askimet’s settings seem to have changed since I got it. They offer no options. But I dont see the comments in the spam either. I can try re-installing Askimet… dang, I want this to work!

    Its in the Wordbooker settings.

yes, Steve the “bypass spam” option is checked.

I removed Askimet all the way and now a FB box appears at the end of my new WP post. So, this is a change. Would Wordbooker pull FB comments from past posts or do I wait until someone comments on this new post to see if it works?

    Steve,
Sorry for the repeat post, but making that single change to the XMLNS tags in the theme seems to have broken Woodbooker’s connection — nothing is being echoed up or down since I made the edit.

When a post is published, I’m getting ‘Wordbooker failed to communicate with Facebook for GELD / Fire Station Cooperative Project Could Save Town Money : method = stream.publish, error_code = 102 ( Session does not match current stored session. This may be because the user changed the password since the time the session was created or may be due to a system error.). Your blog is OK, but Facebook didn’t get the update.’

When I refresh status, I get these in the diag messages:
‘Timestamp Post Diagnostic Message Diagnostic Data

    Anything else I can check?

The message tells you what the problem is:

Session does not match current stored session. This may be because the user changed the password since the time the session was created or may be due to a system error. ( )

So your stored FB session has been invalidated. Did you change anything on FB, like your password or switch to HTTPS from HTTP? If so your session has been trashed and you need to obtain a new one by clicking on RESET( its next to the Refresh Status) and re-authenticating against FB.

I am having the same problem. I upgraded to 1.8.27 by downloading the ZIP file and then uploading to my /wp-content/plugins/ directory and then RESET and reconfigured via the on-screen prompts. Wordbooker says everything is working fine. The Facebook password has not changed.

However, now my new blog posts don’t show up on Facebook and Wordbooker can’t seem to find my comments.

Here are the error messages I am getting:

Permissions may be corrupted Session does not match current stored session. This may be because the user changed the password since the time the session was created or may be due to a system error. ( )

Failed to get page ids : Session does not match current stored session. This may be because the user changed the password since the time the session was created or may be due to a system error. ( )

Comment fetch from Facebook Failed : Session does not match current stored session. This may be because the user changed the password since the time the session was created or may be due to a system error. ( )

Let me know it you need additional info. Thanks!

Just in passing, the normal Facebook machinations didn’t resolve this.

I finally uninstalled the plugin, deleted the files, and reinstalled — and it worked (with the modified statement per the documentation).

@artc1209: Were you able to restore existing comments?

As a followup to my post above, I am also getting this error message:

PW publish fail : Session does not match current stored session. This may be because the user changed the password since the time the session was created or may be due to a system error.
