• Hello,

I tried to “To make your site as secure as possible, take a moment to optimize the Wordfence Web Application Firewall:” but always get this error message:

We were unable to make changes to the .htaccess file. It’s possible WordPress cannot write to the .htaccess file because of file permissions, which may have been set by another security plugin, or you may have set them manually. Please verify the permissions allow the web server to write to the file, and retry the installation.

I have seen that the problem happend before with other users but were solved. I have the newes version but it still sucks.

    I tried also to add “auto_prepend_file = ‘/home/.sites/38/site9116137/web/wp/wordfence-waf.php'” to php.ini – also without success.

Also if I try to activate “Enable Wordfence Falcon Engine” I get an error:

We can’t modify your .htaccess file for you because: We could not find your .htaccess file to modify it.

I have als tried to chance the write options for .htaccess.
Which one (.hta), in which directory I have to use/change?

What could I still try to do?

    Thx a lot!
