[Plugin: WordPress Download Monitor] How to use custom field on a download page ?

Hi there.

You might have figured it out already, but just gave this answer to someone else with more or less the same problem, might be useful to you or others:

You need to set the name as req_role and then i.e author for the value.
Been with the same problem for hours today, until I realised this part *lol*
Also note, that if you use i.e. Buddypress, the roles that gets added to the WP user options under “Roles” does not work.
You need to use some of the native WP roles for this, i.e. author, subscriber, contributor etc.

I have the same question as the OP, but I don’t understand this answer. Am I supposed to have a Roles plugin or something?

Say I want to add a “Demo” link value to every single individual download page, how do I do this? The include_fields thing didn’t work for me, unless I am suppose to do this on a global level and not each time I add a new download.

Struggling setting up this plugin!

Just want to change the default download link and have an image – will post solution if and when I figure it out!
