    Hi there,

a week ago I tried to upgrade the plugin to the last version (I think it was 3.3.2), but when I did it the downloads link disappeared from my downloads page. The only thing written was “ID not found”, repeated for every download. So I restored my database and now I run version 3.2.3, which works fine.
I saw the last version is now 3.3.5, but I have some doubts in upgrading because I really don’t want to be obliged to restore my database again.

Do you have any suggestion? Did you ever encounter this error before?

    Thank you very much

There have been some improvements to the upgrade script now, and I have not heard of any problems since changing it – but you should definitely backup first like the last time.

The upgrade attempts to rename the main tables + add a few new ones for taxonomies – if it fails it should tell you this time round.

^ O but thing thing to note, if your previous upgrade failed there might be some empty tables prefixed wp_download_monitor_ (instead of wp_DLM) in your database and they need to be removed beforehand…

My previous upgrade didn’t fail, it succeded but it went out with that problem. Now I make a backup and then try to upgrade again. I’ll tell you if something goes wrong.

    Here we are: same problem.
I was incorrect when I said the error message was “ID not found”, actually it says “# [download#id#image]” as you can see here:

Any suggestion? I hope I don’t have to restore again!

What custom format are you using, [download#id#image] is not a valid one + it would result in double the queries for each listing.

Custom formats should take things like {id} {thumbnail} {title} etc etc.

I was using that format, now I changed it and everything seems fine.
    Thank you a lot!
