• Plug in seems to be working fine except that when I check the box for “Member only file?” this seems to have no effect. That is, anyone can download the files, you don’t need to be logged in.

I’ve had several people try this on different machines and browsers and everyone got full access without registering. Here are all the links:

In addition, the hit counts don’t seem to be working for me. Do these update in real time?

    Thanks for any help.

    Best,
    JRM

Your links are linking directly to the files; not going though the download monitor script. I imagine this is because you have misinterpreted how the custom url setting works. It should not be set to match the REAL url – it should just be something like downloads/

I changed the custom url setting in the plug in to: https://www.doseofdigital.com/wordpress/whitepapers/filename.

So here’s one of the links:https://www.doseofdigital.com/wordpress/whitepapers/Emerging_Media_in_Healthcare.pdf

This still isn’t tracking (no I wasn’t logged in). Also, any idea why the member only isn’t working? Are these issues related?

    Thanks.

Yes they will be related because the download.php stops the non-member downloading. Does it work if you use something other than /filename?

I’m having the same problem.. Member only isn’t working =[

Thanks for the reply, but I have no idea what I need to change in the custom URL options and how this corresponds to the actual hyperlink I used on the site.

In other words, if I change from Filename to Title, how should I change the hyperlink within the actual blog post?

I tried just changing to Title and the downloads still worked (i.e., the permalink didn’t change), but it also didn’t track the download or direct to registration.
