[Plugin: WordPress File Monitor Plus] "Dirs/Files To Ignore" is always empty

perhaps i’m doing something wrong. using earlier versions of this plugin, i have successfully entered files and directories to ignore, but i’ve never seen them listed after doing “Save Changes”.

is that the design intent? if so, is there a way to see the current ignore list? if not, how do i debug this?
