[Plugin: WordPress File Monitor Plus] Filters not working

The filters do work. I for one always add error_log to the File Names To Ignore setting. If you are putting in multiple entries make sure that you have one per line.

OK I just tried to enter an exact Dir to ignore and when I save it removes my entry. I tried on several of my sites. What am I doing wrong?

/wp-content/themes/mytheme/scripts/cache/ is the folder I want to ignore.

Too me that’s not the exact directory you are entering…

Exact meaning you need to include the full path to that folder.

e.g. /home/username/public_html/wp_content/….

OK. A little confusing since the root is entered above in “File Check Root”. I assumed it appended that to all my entries and also when I get a notification it just starts with /wp-content which is another reason I assumed it was done that way. I’ll give that a try.

Interesting, on the clear admin alert page if the full path was filled in and one didn’t want it reported in the future, one could simply copy and paste the full path to ignore.

I experiencing this same issue on two sites. Both are hosted at GoDaddy and entered the full path. I keep getting not only excluded directories but get the same scan results over and over for files that were changed or added days ago.

I am now trying multiple combination to keep my email box from overflowing.
