• First of all, am I mistaken? Doesn’t your plugin (if settings are correct) fix things like an image on my domain being called via http — correcting it automatically to https? On my page, I have a few images that I added with http… even though it is an https page, they are still being called via http.

Here is how I have the settings:

    checked – Internal HTTPS Elements
    checked – External HTTPS Elements
    checked – Bypass External Check

    Here is the URL:
    https://www.bpublic.com/products/

And while you are there, please check out all of the other lovely http. Some I know I can fix, but the plugin ones are most difficult for me to figure out.

    THANKS!

    Hey Brad,

Yes, you are correct. However, the plugin is failing to modify some images, scripts, and stylesheets. As you can imagine, this is not intended.

The only thing I can think of that would cause that is another plugin interfering with it. Here’s what I recommend:

    1. Go download Google Chrome.
    2. Go to your site, hit Ctrl + Shift + I to open the Developer Tools.
    3. Click on ‘Console’ along the top.
    4. Go to your site, and you’ll see a list of warnings caused from insecure content that look something like ‘The page at https://www.bpublic.com/ displayed insecure content from https://www.bpublic.com/wp-content/plugins/seo-pressor/templates/css/styles.css?ver=3.0.3.’
    5. Log into your admin panel and turn off plugins one-by-one, each time force refreshing (Ctrl + F5) your site until you notice the list of insecure items get much, much shorter.

Let me know if that works and/or if you figure out which plugin is the culprit. If a plugin is interfering, I may be able to put a workaround into the next version.

    Thanks for downloading!

    Thanks for your reply…

    1. Okay – check
    2. Okay – check
    3. Okay – check
    4. Okay – check
    5. Okay – I’ve deactivated just about every plugin for this site. Leaving only a few essential plugins that I’ve used a billion times without issue.

The makers of the Headway theme swear that it recognizes https and doesn’t have a problem; however, both the background and header image (entered via Headway’s Visual Editor) are coming up as http (in Headway, I entered the URL for each image as https and they still show up as http).

I’d think that by now, your plugin would be forcing these two as https… but what do I know…. You got any ideas? You can login to my WordPress Admin if you’d like, and take a look — but that’s probably more than you’d like to undertake.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hey Brad,

Hmm, send me the login details and I’ll take a look at it. I actually don’t mind, I’ve done it quite a few times for users of my plugin because sometimes it’s really the only way for me to fix things.

    Thanks!

I were really struggling with trying to get my checkout page on WordPress to validate securely. I am running an ecommerce site and have purchased the SSL certificate and it is installed.

Then I noticed the errors on the page and how it was only partially encrypted. Then I found out all the html and css, images etc had to show as ‘https’ not ‘http.’ It seems there is some unsafe java script and some images on the page that are causing the problem……..Read More
