[Plugin: WordPress HTTPS (SSL)] Checkout and Cart pages not updating and breaks header

I feel your pain! Have you managed to sort it out yet?

I’m having exactly the same issue with the cart not updating on buy now command, this is not only with https plugin but also better wp security. I was using that the security plugin first as it does a really good job but then cart would not update and be in continuous loop after it was updated to allow for ssl certificates on individual pages.

It must be related to ssl.

Do any wordpress boffins on here have any code suggestion for .htaccess, if it is possible.

Have you tried securing the pages that you add products on? It’s possible the cookies that store the cart contents are not accessible for some reason.

Yes I have tried activating for individual product pages but it still will not have it. I think you may be onto something there with the cookie suggestion but I’m still none the wiser.

I’ve posted over on better wp security forum too so I’ve got two avenues I’m exploring so hopefully we can find answers.

Well, 26thandmane is using a Shared SSL, which is likely the issue. If you want to use Shared SSL, you’ll probably have to secure your entire site with it to make it work correctly. WooCommerce is actually using the current session to store the cart contents, not the cookie.

I’m using a templatic template so switching to woo now is a bit late. I’m also using dedicated ssl certificate with a dedicated ip so….

I’ll plod along for now and if I find a remedy I will post back.
