[Plugin: WordPress HTTPS (SSL)] Forcing https on admin, how do I turn it off?
-
Ok, so 2 things.
First is I had enabled the Force SSL Administration
But I had to turn it off since I could no longer update my “Custom Contact Forms” plugin since it was giving an error due to their programming not allowing it the admin area to function on SSL… (lame when people dont have the forethought to program correctly, oh well)So, after disabling the Force SSL Admin my admin is still forwarding to https.
I used the reset button, added define(‘WPHTTPS_RESET’, true); to my wp-config, hit the pages on the main site and went to https://MySite/wp-admin and it auto forwards to the https, but then the redirect shows http.
So to login I have to login, remove the redirect from the address bar and press enter again to get into the site.2)
The second thing is the page I have set to Force SSL when the Force SSL Exclusively was on was not forcing.
and on pages that did not have it set that are child pages, such as;
https://MySite.dom/Parent/child-page
it was removing the seperating slash, like this;
https://MySite.dom/Parentchild-pageI hope this helps, I would be willing to help you test anything as well or supply you with my contact info if I can be of help.
I love your plugin & hope that the bug fixxes go well on your new release!
