[Plugin: WordPress Importer] Importer won't install on WP 3.1.3

  • I’ve tried installing the WordPress-Importer using the TOOLS/INSTALL/WORDPRESS method — and nothing happens when I click install. I just get a blank page.

    I’ve tried downloading the zip file from here, unzipping and uploading to my plugins folder over FTP. When I try to activate the plugin, I get an ERROR 500 – INTERNAL SERVER ERROR, and then I can’t access anything on my dashboard.

    I still have one of my sites on WP 3.1.2 and I just uploaded the WordPress-Importer with the FTP method. Everything works fine. 3.1.3 is the problem.

    This is all using WordPress-Importer version 0.4

    Can someone help or is there a fix coming??? Thanks.

  • The importer installs and runs fine for me on WP 3.1.3. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default theme before installing?
