• I created a menu & started adding links & they didn’t appear. So I saved the menu…went back in & tried adding again. This time it worked.

One of the pages I added was #2. Home was menu item #0 & page 2 was menu item #1. I tried to make the next page menu item #2 & it was to be the parent page for a few others. Instead of the children linking to menu item #2 they linked to page #2. I couldn’t have a menu item #2.

Then I couldn’t figure out how to add it to my theme or css file. Several menus say to add codes various places but I’m not sure what codes & where. Also…I’m not sure if I should be deleting what’s already there (the theme’s menus or css info for their menus).

So I decided to delete this. Then I realized (after trying a few other nav menu plugins) this is the only one that might work with BuddyPress. There’s a few pages that don’t have #’s. Some of the mods don’t ask for numbers…instead you say add WP pages & for those it’s not recognizes BuddyPress pages. This is one of the few that lets you link to page numbers if you got ’em or URL’s if you don’t.

Of course deleting this didn’t get rid of anything in my database. So trying to re-add “main menu” & all its links again was impossible. Actually it wouldn’t go past menu item #3 that can’t be #2 because there’s a page #2. I tried deleting everything in the database & doing this again but it’s still wonky & I still can’t get past the file edits. Since I can’t get BuddyPress to work with themes that might already have working menus you can simply edit & switch out URL’s for…I’ve had to lose BuddyPress. ??

  • The new version does fix a few of these bugs especially in relation to WordPress 3.0

As far as the main menu editing, this has been discussed with lots of developers and most agree that it could be more hassle than just leaving it. What I will do is create a work around for this.

The new version is being released as 1.2
