[Plugin: WordPress Menu Creator] This plugin ROCKS.

  • I have searched the web twice over and found this to be the BEST and most flexible plugin for making menus. The WordPress Menu Creator is a well thought out piece of code that makes it very easy to put what YOU want in your navigation menu. Most plugins I have found don’t allow you to mix in external links with your pages and categories like this one does. If you know CSS, you have many styling options to play with.

    I did have a few problems initially, but the creator responded very quickly and helped me resolve my issue. I can’t wait to see what great features the updates will have!

    I’ll be adding an update to this plugin by weeks end that will help with sort order, target _blank and even custom title for each link.

    Hey the plugin was updated to feature the following new features.

    New Title Tag for links, ability to specify target and a new class selector for active menu items.

    We have removed the target= and replaced it with rel in order to keep the menu XHTML Strict compliant.

    I just wanted to chime in that this plugin is incredibly sexy, and I’ll be using it with every WordPress theme I cook up from now on.

    One small note – it took me forever to find the creation menu under Tools in WP 2.7.1 (since there is no longer a Manage tab), but once I found it it’s been almost perfect. (There’s also a small issue with redirecting incorrectly after naming new menus.)

    Thanks so much for this plugin. It’s saving me from so much of a headache trying to make custom menus with wp_list_pages().

    Actually the new version which well be released as version 1.1 will be added under its own heading “UIDX TOOLS” since UltimateIDX now has a handful of tools to its credit. So all of its and my own plugins will go under the new heading for ease of management.

    It should also be noted that I have a ton of menu examples I’m going to publish as well so people will find it a bit easier to build menus.
