[Plugin: WordPress Mobile Pack] Mobile Theme Not Responding To Code Changes

I’m using WP Mobile Pack v1.2.5. I am trying to edit the base theme to remove comments, and to change info on the footer. I have edited both index.php and footer.php, but the theme is not reflecting my changes at all. I can’t figure out why.

What am I missing? Is the base theme not pointing to /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-mobile-pack/themes/mobile_pack_base/? Thanks.
