I recently upgraded both wordpress and the domain mapping plugin. I just noticed yesterday, that all of my permalinks are in the form of mysite.mymultiweb.com rather than mysite.com.

It’s a small web with low traffic, so it is hosted at hostgator.

Permanent redirect is checked. I checked primary when I added the domains. I tried deleting and re-adding the domains to no avail. I tried deleting and reinstalling the plugin and re-adding the domains to no avail. I did move the new sunrise.php to wp-content after the upgrade. Because I have cpanel at hostgator, I do have the domains parked. My name servers for the domains are pointed at hostgator. There is a DNS A entry pointing at the IP. I *think* I followed all the install instructions when I updated; I certainly tried to.

Going to mysite.com in a browser works and goes to the right place, and displays correctly to the user as they navigate. But, internally, the permalinks still show mysite.mymultiweb.com.

The web in question is winswebs.com. One of the sites in question is divorcelawyermn.com.

Any thoughts for things I might pursue would be most welcome.

The permanent redirect checkbox is a switch between a HTTP 302 redirect (temporary redirect) and a HTTP 301 redirect (permanent redirect).

I loaded divorcelawyermn.com and the menus, post permalinks, etc. were all the mapped domain. What do you mean by internally?

I thought I remember from before the domain mapping update that the permalinks that showed within the dashboard, when I’m editing a page, below the title would show divorcelawyermn.com/mypage. And the same thing, that when I would create an anchor/link to a page within the website, that when the box popped up with internal pages, that it would show divorcelawyermn.com/page-to-link-to, rather than divorcelawyermn.winswebs.com/page-to-link-to. Same sort of thing in the media library. I thought when I first set up domain mapping, that all of these things just showed divorcelawyermn.com and didn’t have to always be edited. Do I remember wrong? I don’t have another multi-site install I can look at.

What I see now below the page title looks like this (cut and pasted)
    Permalink: https://divorcelawyermn.winswebs.com/minnesota-chil…pport-attorney/

    Thanks.

That only happens when you set your DM settings so the admin area runs under the mapped domain.

    Thank you!

I misunderstood that checkbox even though I looked at the documentation, and so I had it checked. Unchecking it fixed it. Perhaps when I upgraded that setting changed. Now all the behavior is as it was before. Thanks!
