There’s also a spot in wp_sites (I think, something like that) where the domain shows as domain.com and you should probably change that too.

Changed that but the same ‘problem loading page’

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

You probably didn’t get all the places that need changing, which is (part of) why we never recommend it. Why ARE you trying to change this?

Have you looked through all the wp_sitemeta fields?

boss changed his mind and wants the www prefix on the main site. gonna set up a dev site to figure this out (i keep killin the live site) – thanks for the help – will advise

I’ve gone through this before and just had to dump the whole database and go through it manually searching for domain.com. Going to domain.com/wp-admin/options.php (just remove -general from General Options) sometimes helps find it too.

I usually search the whole file set to in something like Textpad just to be sure but that is usually just wp-config as you mentioned.

Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up adding www to wp_blogs,wp_options (for each child site), wp_site and the domain mapping table of which I cant remember the name – all good now
