• FYI, the latest release of NAVT (1.027) does not work in any configuration I’ve tested it in. The previous release (1.026) seems to continue to work with WP 2.7 in most cases though, so if you are having difficulty with NAVT, try reverting to v.1.026. Unfortunately it is not clear whether this wonderful plugin will continue to be supported. To those of us using WP primarily as a CMS this is a potentially huge loss, especially since there are no other plugins (or none that I’ve found) that perform any kind of similar function. The level of control over order and display of navigation items that NAVT offers is fantastic and something sorely missing from WordPress. Until or unless the functionality NAVT offers is incorporated into the core WP system, let’s hope that the developer of NAVT hangs in and is able to update the plugin, even if just for compatibility purposes. No response in a little while though unfortunately :/

  • if wordpress is installed in an subdirectory

    in NAVT_plugin_path/js/navtadmin.js.php you can just change

    define(‘ABSPATH’, $_SERVER[‘DOCUMENT_ROOT’] . ‘/’);
    to
    define(‘ABSPATH’, $_SERVER[‘DOCUMENT_ROOT’] . ‘/subdirectory_where_wordpress_installed/’);
