[Plugin: WordPress Navigation Tool (NAVT)] Disabled WordPress upon activation

Upon downloading this, unzipping it and putting it into my plugins folder, I was happy to have it show up in my plugins page on wp-admin. All good. The only problem was when I activated it, all I got was a blank screen and poof – no more WP site.

To test I made another default installation of WP and the same thing happened once I tried to use this plug-in. I’m fairly new to WP but also a web developer, so if anyone has any suggestions on why this plug-in is not working as expected, please let me know. Thanks.
