[Plugin: WordPress Portfolio Plugin (WP Portfolio)] Trying to move the CSS but it keeps reappearing?
-
You say: “Once you’re happy with the style, you should really move the CSS into your template style.css. This is so that visitor browsers can cache the stylesheet and reduce loading times. Any CSS placed here will be injected into the template <head> tag, which is not the most efficient method of delivering CSS.”
And, I say: Great! Love it! So, I copy/paste the styles into the theme’s style.css and make all the changes I want to the CSS, then once I’m happy, I upload the revised stylesheet and then delete the styles from the wp-portfolio layout settings in the WP dashboard. But when I navigate back to the wp-portfolio layout settings, I see that the CSS I thought I deleted from there (since I’ve added the styles to my style.css as suggested) I see that the styles are STILL in the wp-portfolio layout settings in the WP dashboard. And, any changes I’ve made to the styles in the external stylesheet are overridden now by the styles in the wp-portfolio layout settings in the WP dashboard.
I am not sure how to interpret this or what I am doing wrong that it’s not working. At this point, I’m just going to have to copy/paste my edited styles from the external stylesheet BACK into the wp-portfolio layout settings in the WP dashboard, I guess? Wouldn’t that be doubling the load time, now?
