[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Feature request: Use featured image for twitter cards

  • I use custom post formats in my blog. For image posts, I set the featured image and use the single template to display the featured image. However, if you looked at the the_content of the post, you wouldn’t see an image tag. In this case, your plugin is using my default image instead of my featured image for the twitter:image content . My request is that the featured image, if it exists, is used.

  • I’m using this plugin for the first time and must say: I’m impressed!

    But in the other hand, i’m bumping this thread because it’s a flaw on the plugin, if i only post with a featured image then it throws a red dot, saying that the post doesn’t have an image.

    I love the plugin, but YES ildario is right I was looking all the net about this flaw, why the plugin show red dot when I only post with featured image? Thats mean Google not see my image too?

    So, any news to this subject? ??

    Yeah, I’m looking for this as well. The plugin should use the featured image if it exists!!
