[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Page Analysis reporting incorrect word count in body copy

  • Sorry to revive this old thread, but I have the same problem. I run version 1.2.5 and wp 3.4.1

    Some posts are fine, green light etc. and others like my latest two show yellow, because the word count is off. Page analysis says:
    ‘There are 1 words contained in the body copy. This is far too low and should be increased.
    The keyword density is 0%, which is a bit low, the keyword was found 0 times.’

    But the word count is 832 and the keyword is found 8 times.

    Why is this happening?

    Hi, Is it possible to put your homepage content (Body Copy) into a widget area? The theme i am working with has a nice homepage content widget but the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin is not recognizing the content.

    Can any one of you tell me .. what is that “Body copy”

    I’m having this problem for the first time now ?? My post word count says 357, but my page analysis says There are 234 words contained in the body copy, this is below the 300 word recommended minimum. Add more useful content on this topic for readers.

    I’ve looked through every line of HTML, saved and resaved the draft, and still don’t see the problem.
