In the reading settings, I have set a page as my Posts page.

If I view that page, only the page title (not the SEO title) is being displayed and there is no meta being displayed. When I view the source, I see the following:

<!– This site is optimized with the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin v1.1.2 – https://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/ –>
    <!– / Yoast WordPress SEO plugin. –>

This shows that neither my titles nor descriptions are coming in either.

I have tried to modify the default title, but all I get is a link sending me to the edit page for my posts page.

When I downgrade back to 1.0.3 I have no problems. I tried version 1.1.1 and it didn’t work either. I skipped trying 1.1.

    Please advise.

  • I am having the same issue. It’s only happening to me on the posts page as well, and I noticed this after the recent upgrade.

    Thanks for the great plugin!

I have the same problem (v1.1.2). All other pages are fine and all individual blog posts have the SEO Title and the other meta data. It is just the main blog page that does not have the SEO meta data.

Also, I have two titles on all pages (thought I saw something about this elsewhere); and the main blog page as two titles, except not the SEO title.

Im having the same issue here, after updating SEO to resolve another bug the title of my Home Page isnt showing up anymore.

    Latest Update:

It seems to be an issue somewhere with the new functions created on lines 71-81 of imc/class-frontend.php. I’ve tried to replace the instances using those functions with the old code, but unfortunately it causes an error on the page.

I am also having this issue — all pages & posts display the title, except the main blog page. i’ll keep watching for a solution here. Thanks!

Toss my hat in the ring as well! I hope this will be fixed in the next release.

I too am seeing the issue, only on the blog posts loop page, not on individual posts, pages, or the homepage.

I contacted Joost de Valk (Yoast) via his site and asked if he is watching this post with info about it. Hopefully he will reply here soon.

BTW: I updated to WP 3.3.1 today and still have the same problem on Blog pages:

The SEO title does not replace the WP title, and the meta tags and canonical link do not show up, although the comments normally surrounding them do show up. All other pages are fine.

Also my “two titles” showing up on all pages seems to be resolved (not sure why) – perhaps this was not related to the SEO plugin.

I’m having this issue as well on my “blog page”. Everywhere else the title is showing up just as it should, but nothing on the blog.

Good news — i just upgraded to the latest version of the plugin — 1.1.3 — and the blog page title is fixed. Thank you Joost de Valk!
