[Plugin: WordPress SEO] Homepage generating random title

    My home page seems to be generating a random post as the title. I can’t even figure out how it’s getting THAT post title as it’s the 15th one on my magazine layout home page.

    I’ve gone to the page settings and added a description, as for the title I’ve tried %%sitename%% AND just typing out the site name. It seems every other page is set up fine (my categories pages are using the same template).

    I’ve tried it with and without the pages titles containing “%%title%%”. I’ve also made sure to install the right head tag per the Title Settings Page.

    any ideas?

  • we have the same problem thats why i disabled this plugin, i dont know if this bug was fixed on the 1.0.3 version, if you use this along the all-in-one-seo of semperfi, this will cause fatal error, its some sort of mistake when i tried the 1.0.2 version because i need to start from scratch since its hard to mess up with database, once a database is messed up, its hard to fix

    I was pumped to see an update for this, but it didn’t fix this. I use a template software that generates magazine style pages, but the other pages I’m using seem to work fine.

    @omnimobile I was using All-In-One but it made my login widget the title for EVERY page. I had WAY more problems with it : /

    yeah, i agree with you, i tried the latest update, it is really worth using now because it offers a lot of function and its quite more bug fixed now, though not all, sitename can now display but unable to dislay the description, post title can now function well, i use to make my post titl to be post title | sitename, it does work like that now, compare the old version, i feel down because i need to start from scratch

    Really? I had mine set up for “%%postname%% | %%sitename%%” and it’s always worked for me : p

    @robpachasa have the exact issue!! WHAT THE HELL Happened?

    It was working fine but I had to backup and re-install my site and now the last 10 posts all have a broken <title>. Well, not broken, but Post A gets post Ds title, etc.

    Every other page / post is COMPLETELY fine.

    Upgraded to 1.0.3 this morning. Still nothing.

    Turned OFF “Force rewrite titles” and problem solved!!

    Oh wow, I turned it off and it’s working! Huh, it’s amazing how unchecking the box you THINK would fix it, fixes it lol
