[Plugin: WordPress.com Stats] Installation of Plugin

  • OK. After a fiasco with jetpack, I went back to installing the wp-stats. but when I try to add the API key, it takes me to a regular configuration page and then gives me the same answer as the jetpack: “You have failed to authenticate with the WordPress.com API.”

    How can I authenticate if the option is not even given to me when I activate the plugin. Honestly, could use some help.

  • same thing. install jetpack, too much trouble, uninstalled it again, reinstalled wordpress stats. stats work fine with dashboard stats, but not regular ones, I get : You have failed to authenticate with the WordPress.com API.
    but dashboard stats plugin shows that data is being collected correctly.
