  • @aldolat,

    Please use my support form so I can get a record of your e-mail address. I’ll need login credentials to troubleshoot your error.

    For all those still having 2.6 issues, please use the above link to send me an e-mail. Please prepare to also send wp-admin details, as it seems the bulk of WP 2.6 bugs have been fixed, but there are some case-by-case issues.

    Thanks.

    @all,

    I made some changes in the plugin for 2.2. If you have any more issues, please post here.

    Using WP Ajax Edit Comments 2.2.1.0 (just recently updated it) with WordPress 2.6.2 and it stopped working in the posts. Comments are still shown in “awaiting moderation” without any AJAX editing possible – but it seems to still work in the admin panel.

    I also have commentluv 2.5.3 running (also recently updated) which produces a jQuery error (“g is undefined”), but that does not harm the way it works.

    Maybe there is a connection?

    Though, Ajax Edit Comments does not work when commentluv is disabled, either.

    Do we have another jQuery problem here?

    I think I have the same problem after updating to the latest version WP Ajax Edit Comments 2.2.1.0. Users can not edit his comments. Plugin no longer displays the edit button … How to solve the problem?

    For those having JS issues, I reverted back to jQuery 1.2.3 (again) for the time being.

    Any feedback on if this helps is appreciated. I plan to do a JS re-write and hopefully rectify the issue.

    This version is a test version to see if it helps, so feedback is appreciated.

    I tested version WP Ajax Edit Comments 2.2.1.1, but still not resolved the problem. Part of administration seems to go, but users can not edit comments. I hope to solve the problem because it is a useful plugin.

    Same here.

    AEC 2.2.1.1 seemed to fix my JS issues. Links/buttons on the comments section are now working properly with JS overriding default browser redirect behavior on AJAX calls. User editing works again and the timer is back!

    I also have the Commentluv plugin installed which is mentioned as interfering with AEC in former versions (https://www.raproject.com/ajax-edit-comments/). So I deactivated it and tried again – but no luck: AEC still does not work (any longer) in the 2.x version. Does not seem to be commentluv anymore…

    @all,

    If you’re still having issues, please submit a support request so I can e-mail you directly. Please leave a URL so I can leave a test comment on your site.

    Please only do this after you have tried the 2.2.1.1 release (linked above).

    Interesting… when I am logged in and look at the comments in the single post pages view, all the AEC links appear. It just doesn’t work directly after leaving a comment: no countdown, no links…

    When you are logged seems to work normally, but when you are not logged in and write a review as a normal user like I did not installed in blog AEC plugin.

    Okay, here’s another go

    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/wp-ajax-edit-comments.2.2.2.0.zip

    I re-wrote the script files to be more in line with the jQuery authoring guidelines. It’s using jQuery 1.2.6 again, so I’m crossing my fingers.

    I’m staying with 2.2.1.1. Icons appeared fine with 2.2.2.0 but when I clicked on the edit, the modal dialog box appeared but did not fill in the fields with the comment data.
