[Plugin: WP Better Emails] Feature Request/suggestions

  • I have been looking into plugins that deal with the horrible e-mails sent out by default from WordPress. But there is no one plugin that really controls all aspects of emails.

    Yours is a great start, but wanted to start a list of feature requests that you might want to consider adding.

    Features:

    • Ability to edit all the default e-mails
    • Log system to track all e-mails sent out
    • Ability to disable specific e-mails (like admin emails, or new user registration e-mails)

    Also, I figure I list a few plugins that already do some of the feature requested so you can either merge or at least get a good idea on where to continue to build this AWESOME plugin.

    Plugins

    Hi Kalman,

    Unfortunaletly, the features you requested are not planned to be included in this plugin.

    For now, this plugin has one goal: provide an HTML template to wordpress emails in an easy way so that non PHP/HTML skilled users can enjoy nice HTML emails.

    If you want to edit each email, this plugin should fit your needs:

    If you also have a look at the roadmap, WP team plans to include such features in the next release:

    This release will probably make my plugin useless in a very near future. You’ll understand I don’t want to build a huge plugin to deal with every aspect of emails in wordpress. At least not until I see which way wordpress emails are taking in the next releases.
