I’m using WordPress in conjunction with s2member. The lost password function (https://www.nasarracenia.org/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword) sends an e-mail like this:

Someone requested that the password be reset for the following account: https://www.nasarracenia.org Username: kitkor If this was a mistake, just ignore this email and nothing will happen. To reset your password, visit the following address:

It is unformatted with no new line characters or html. Worse, it completely omits the link. My wp-login.php “retrieve_password” looks normal and I have not altered it. Any ideas? Where do I go to fix this?

WP Better Emails, as promised, fixed the sender name and sender e-mail, but the lost password e-mail was still unformatted (no html wrapper came through from WP Better Emails) and the link to reset a user password was still absent. E-mails are going to gmail.

Is my install (3.3.1) somehow stripping all html from e-mails? I had a similar problem with the welcome e-mail, but the s2member plugin allows you to edit the content of the e-mail, so I added br-tags to add line breaks.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Bumping this in the hopes that someone might see it. (I’ll only do this once to avoid being annoying. I am a bit desperate since I can’t figure this out on my own.)

    Hi kitkor,

Your problem may come from another plugin or something else. I tested the s2member on a clean 3.3.1 install with my plugin (WP better Emails) and all emails sent are perfectly fine (registration, lost password).

Try desactivating some plugins that might interfere with emails.

Hum, I just tested live on your website and everything looks just right !

    ArtyShow,

Thanks so much! I went through and cleaned up my other plugins. That must have been the source. I had been trying out different login plugins and they must have been conflicting.

All is working now and I’m really pleased with your plugin. Thanks for the help!
