    Hey zynov,

Great stuff. I’ve no previous experience with that plugin or translating wordpress (or its plugins) except making this plugin ready for translation but you will need to place the .mo file in wp-bulletin-board/languages/ this is of course assuming you already have translated your wordpress site into your preferred language already (set in wp-config.php). WordPress will then look for a file containing your local e.g. my-wpbb-french-fr-FR.mo in wp-bulletin-board/languages/

Also if you’d like to make your translation available to other users that’d be great too you can post it here or email it to me ([email protected]) and I’ll include it in future versions.

Please let me know how you get on ??

    Thanks

    how to translate it?

best way is to use plugin called “Codestyling localization”

The customer decided not to use this plugin (WPBB) as he didn’t like it and he choose another causing less mess ??

Codestyling localization doesn’t work. It requires PHP token enabled – I even don’t know what it is. So I choosed another forum plugin

you can also use software called poedit – makes exactly the same as Codestyling localization, but on your computer, not on the server side.

    Sorry to hear that.

Though you and others should know that the “Codestyling localisation” plugin has nothing to do with WPBB. Atleast in rusmanson’s case it sounded like that plugin didn’t work so he decided not to use WPBB.

I’ve added pot and mo file to wp-bulletin-board/languages/ but nothing happened, content still in English. I’ve tried to add it to wp-bulletin-board/languages/translators – same thing.
My file names are: wp-bulletin-board-ru_RU.pot and wp-bulletin-board-ru_RU.pot
Question is still open: How I can switch to another one wp-bulletin-board?

    Hey gleb,

You’ll need to rename your .mo in wp-bulletin-board/languages to:

    wp-bb-ru_RU.mo

Oh and also make sure that you change WP_LANG in wp-config.php to your preferred language. For russian translations it should be:

    define('WPLANG', 'ru_RU');

Looks like some strings still need to be translated. If you ever finish it and would like to release it for other russian users please let me know and I’ll add it to the script and credit you for the work.

    Thanks!
