[Plugin: WP BUSINESS DIRECTORY MANAGER] Email Not Displaying

  • Email does not display on listing: I have marked the excerpt as YES to display the email and it won’t display. I have deleted the field, all references to it in the database, recreated the Email field, validated to email, and it still won’t display. I have also tried add the field as a custom field in the Edit Post, and nothing.

    There is this reference in the wpbusdirman.php file:
    _e(“To protect user privacy Email addresses are not displayed in listings. “,”WPBDM”);

    What does that mean? Is there a script on a page that needs to be modified? I really need to get this to work.

  • crimay71, yes, the plugin is set to prevent you from displaying emails publicly on your site as this is not a good practice and a sure way of getting your users spammed. To override the restriction you will have to edit the code
