[Plugin: WP Category Post List Widget] Funny bug with quotes in post title

  • One of our sites using this plugin had “Hidden History” in quotes as part of the title. This post would not show up in the widget. When I checked the HTML, I saw that this:

    <a hidden="" target="_self" race"="" of="" history"="" title="Permalink to: Daniel Sharfstein, on America's " href="https://scss.ua.edu/2012/10/09/daniel-sharfstein-on-americas-hidden-history-of-race/">Daniel Sharfstein, on America's "Hidden History" of Race</a>

    Single quotes turn out fine:

    <a href="https://scss.ua.edu/2012/10/09/daniel-sharfstein-on-americas-hidden-history-of-race/" title="Permalink to: Daniel Sharfstein, on America's 'Hidden History' of Race" target="_self">Daniel Sharfstein, on America's 'Hidden History' of Race</a>

    Is there a way to escape quotes the link title reference?
