[Plugin: WP Category Post List Widget] Number of posts to show not working

Hi –
Not sure what’s wrong here, but the number of posts setting is not working. I want just one post to show up and tried using the shortcode: [wp_cpl_sc cat_id=6 list_num=1]
Yet I still see all of the posts when I go to the published page. Can you tell me what is wrong here?
