  • Same for me. The strange thing is if I deactivate the plugin and then reactivate it the user page appears but it says it’s been deactivated and there’s no way for them to upload any files!

This is definately not working. I’ve just clean installed 3.2.1. and this is the first plugin I’ve installed. The initial WP Client File Share page gets created but when you create a new user with the File Sharer Role – no page is created for them.

I’m the developer of the plugin. I’d like to help.

Is there anyway I could get any more info about the hosting environment?

Also, just curious. Have you tried to create a page for that user as a child of “WP Client File Share” and make that user the owner of the page?

That would help me troubleshoot too.

    Thanks

Thanks for getting involved in this issue. What details would you like of the hosting environment? My PHP version is 5.2.16, SQL is 5.0.92 and WP version is 3.2.1.

What I had to do in order to add a new page as a child of the WP Client page is to first of all remove the Private permissions on the WP Client page (otherwise you are unable to add a child page to a Private page) Then create a new page with the WP Client page as the Parent page and then make them both Private!

From there I am then able to upload files to that page but they only show up a “Download” link so you’ve no idea what you’re downloading and you can’t click to “View Page” in the WP Client Share Admin panel.

There really are too many issues at the moment to go through them all. I’m more than happy to add you as an administrator of my Dev site. Please let me know. I’m not sure if you can send me a Private Message or anything similar?

If you could give me admin on the dev that would be great. Just let me know if it is ok to upload test files and delete/install the plugin.

Just to state, the plugin works on every system I have tried. There also have been people that have donated $ for it. So, it has worked for a lot, and I’ll do what I can to get it to work for you.

Hi. Should I contact you via the form on your sideways8 site? I don’t want to add admin details on this forum.

And yes, you can go ahead and upload and add whatever is required as it’s purely a dev site and not the actual site it’ll be installed on.

Yeah. Just get to our contact form then we can talk via email.

Hi. I sent a message the other day via your website but still not heard from you?

I just responded. None of my forms we making it to my mailbox (but was stored in the DB…so I got your email address from there).

Let me know if you got my email that was sent 10 minutes ago.

Hey. Yep, received your email – just replying now with the necessary information. Thanks.

Was there ever a solution for this? I get the same issue trying to use the plugin.

I can’t get this to work at all.
Not for existing users or new users.
Have deactivated, removed, reinstalled and reactived a gazillion times to no avail.
I would also expect it to work for any other role specified (enhancement, perhaps).
