[Plugin: wp-cron control] Hundreds of 0 KB files

  • Hi there

    I am using wp-cron control because I had a rogue wp-cron on one of my sites which was running almost continuously.

    Now when I look in the file system for this sites I can see hundreds of files 0KB in size called

    wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron&10d2d157e85f85a4024f73b5a6d42cae.991

    Where the .991 changes every time.

    What are these? Can they be deleted?
